Recommended procedures for cleaning silk flowers:
Salt Method: get a medium to large paper or plastic bag. Put 1 rounded cup of salt into the bag. Place your flowers into the bag; fold the top of the bag over 2 or 3 times (to prevent the salt from coming out). Now shake the bag gently 5 or 6 times. Open the bag and get your flowers, shake them gently to get all of the salt off. They are beautiful and clean! (Corn meal may be substituted for the salt). Put the bag with the salt away as it can be reused several times over.
Hair Dryer Method: Use your hair dryer on ‘high’ setting with the temperature set on COOL. (If you use the ‘hot’ setting you may melt the glue that holds the flowers together). Blow your arrangement with the hair dryer to get rid of the dust. This is effective if done weekly.
